Tom Ginsburg is the Leo Spitz Distinguished Service Professor of International Law at the University of Chicago, Ludwig and Hilde Wolf Research Scholar, Professor of Political Science, Faculty Director, Malyi Center for the Study of Institutional and Legal Integrity, and Faculty Director, Forum for Free Inquiry and Expression. Sarah McLaughlin is a senior scholar of global expression at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE), and the author of Authoritarians in the Academy: How the Internationalization of Higher Education and Borderless Censorship Threaten Free Speech (Johns Hopkins University Press, August 19, 2025) The event will be moderated by John K. Wilson, columnist for Inside Higher Ed and the author of eight books, including Patriotic Correctness: Academic Freedom and Its Enemies. The event will be introduced and hosted by Mickey Huff, director of Project Censored, president of the Media Freedom Foundation, Distinguished Director of the Park Center for Independent Media and Professor of Journalism at Ithaca College. Huff will also assist the Q&A portion of this online event and has hosted Constitution Day events on college campuses for more than a decade.
